Hey - we’re S.T., the founders of 88Society Apparel, and this is how our story began...
We started out as coworkers, two individuals brought together by a shared eye for fashion and a deep respect for the cultures that shaped us. One grew up in Asia, living and breathing the everyday style scenes, while the other brought global curiosity and an ambitious mindset.
Together, we realized we weren’t just fans of fashion, but we were inspired by it. Not just by the clothes themselves, but by the stories they tell, especially those rooted in Asian identity, culture, and confidence.
That’s when the idea for 88Society started forming, a brand that doesn’t just wear culture on its sleeve but weaves it into every thread. The number 88, rooted in Chinese tradition as a symbol of good fortune, became our emblem and a nod to the broader Asian society we aim to represent.
Not Just for Asians
Our goal is simple but ambitious: to bring Asian style to the world. Not as a trend, but as a movement. We don’t believe Asian fashion should live in a bubble or stay boxed into stereotypes. Style speaks beyond borders, and we want 88Society to be a space where that message is loud and clear.
Whether it’s someone rocking our pieces in Seoul, Sydney, or Seattle, we want people of all backgrounds to connect with what we’re building and not just wear the clothes, but feel part of the culture behind them.
Looking Forward: S8 as a Platform
88Society is just getting started. Our future vision is even bigger than our brand. We see S8 evolving into a platform that helps local Asian designers and brands reach a global audience. We’re planning to spotlight their stories and feature their work on our site, giving them the shine and recognition they deserve.
